Government & Community Affairs
Representatives of the Offshore Group's ownership and managerial staff play an active role in promoting the interests of their client companies on an international, national and local level.

Vangtel, through The Offshore Group, plays a leadership role in the Confederación Patronal de la República Mexicana (The Confederation of Mexican Business Owners or COPARMEX), Consejo Nacional de la Indústria Maquiladora de Exportación (The Mexican National Maquiladora Association or CNIME), as well as the Cámara Nacional de la Indústria de Transformación (The National Chamber of Industry or CANACINTRA).

On the local level, Vangtel management actively participates in the community in which they live. By supporting local universities, technical schools and business organizations, we proactively build and maintain relationships that benefit our client’s activities. We also support social programs and services administered by the Mexican Red Cross and local government entities.

In addition, The Offshore Group continuously monitors legislative activities on the local, state and federal level. Participation in Mexican Government allows us to monitor the effect of these activities on each client's operation.

Procurement services
Vangtel provides procurement/purchasing services for our clients from reputable vendors in Mexico. Work stations, computers, and office supplies are procured at a volume discount. All purchases through Vangtel are benefited by the economies of scale generated by our 53 client firms. Purchasing in Mexico with Vangtel is not only cost effective, but the process is streamlined through our accounting department which identifies and evaluates appropriate suppliers. By paying vendors directly, we provide tax and accounting benefits that save time and money.

Customs Compliance
Vangtel provides expert logistics and customs compliance. Preparing customs documentation and commercial invoices for border-crossing activities is our specialty. Our experienced providers, agents, shippers, internal resources enable efficient fulfillment of your customs needs.

Information Services
In an effort to provide clients with a snapshot of key variables related to their Mexican operations, a Monthly Client Report is distributed to all companies.

The Report includes:

Monthly operating costs in Mexico
Direct labor hours
Direct labor turnover and absenteeism

Workplace Safety & Compliance (OSHEA-EPA)
Vangtel ensures that clients operations are in compliance with Mexican regulations and statutes. Regular pre-audits conducted by Vangtel help maintain the highest safety standards.
